Cubs trade
- 1B Josh Kalman (100% retained)
- CF Wing-tat Tai (100% retained)
Red Sox trade
- SP Dave Heck
- 2053 2nd Round pick
While we love Tai and his potential, getting a young SP will help the team better this season. We weren't going to re-sign Kalman and we have replacements that can help at DH. Heck has great minors numbers and might be able to help this year while the 2nd round pick could net us another potential starting-caliber player.
